Stop using Cialis and get emergency medical assistance from your health provider if you have sudden vision loss. It is also advisable that you get immediate medical assistance if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Stop using Cialis and call your doctor immediately if you are suffering from any of the Cialis side effects:

Clinical Trials for Tadalafil

Tadalafil was administered to over 5,700 men (mean age 59, ranging from 19 - 87 years old) during clinical trials all round the world. In this trial, over 1000 patients were treated for 1 year whereas over 1,300 patients were treated for 6 months or more.

In placebo controlled, Phase 3 clinical trials, the discontinuation rate because of adverse events in patients treated with tadalafil 10 or 20 mg was 3.1%, which was significantly less than placebo treated patients.

Back Pain and Cardiovascular Issues

In tadalafil clinical pharmacology trials, back pain normally occurred 12 - 24 hours after dosing and often resolved within a mater of two days.

Across all research with any tadalafil dose, findings of changes in color vision were rare.  Serious cardiovascular issues, including myocardial infarction and sudden cardiac death have been reported post marketing with the use of tadalafil. Many, but not all, of these patients had pre-existing cardiovascular risk issues.

Most of these events were reported to occur during or shortly after sexual routine, and some were reported to occur shortly after the use of Cialis. Other adverse events suffer from a lack of clear alternative causation because these reactions were reported voluntarily from a population of uncertain size. This makes it tough to reliably judge their frequency or come up with a causal relationship to drug exposure.
